Airline Museum Fly Day
In an effort to give back to the community in which it operates, Take Flight KC board members volunteered at a Fly Day for the Independence School District’s Kid’s Safari summer school program. The event took place at the National Airline History Museum in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 18, 2018. In attendance were 130 kindergarten through middle school students. Students enjoyed touring multiple large and small airplanes including a Super Constellation, a Martin, a twin engine Navajo, a single engine formation plane, and more. KCPD flew in their police helicopter and did a Q&A. Middle school students received a special tour of the air traffic control tower. It was a great day out at the Museum!
